Lady Raiders place tenth at Wauseon Invite

The Wayne Trace girls golf team took part in the Lincolnview Invitational on Monday at Willow Bend Country Club in Van Wert. Shown is Lady Raider junior Kristin Wannemacher, who finished with a 116 to help the red, white and blue to a fourth place finish as a team.

Calaway Gerken shot a 79 and Halle Frank added an 86 to lead the host Wauseon Lady Indians to the championship of the Wauseon Girls Golf Invitational Tuesday at Ironwood Golf Course.

The host Indians carded a 369 to win the tournament over second place Otsego, which finished with a 378. Hicksville placed third with a 383 while Hilltop was fourth at 398 and Fairview placed fifth with a 417.

Napoleon (419), Lake (432), Woodmore (433), Rossford (456) and Wayne Trace (465) rounded out the top ten teams.

Kenzie Schroeder of Hicksville took tournament medalist honors with a 78 on the day, carding a 41 on the front nine before shooting a 37 on the back nine.

Riley Daeger topped Wayne Trace with a 95 and Kristin Wannemacher totaled a 116. Hannah Maenle added a 123 for the Lady Raiders, who also got scores of 131 from Keegan Hohman, 138 from Morgan Riebesehl and a 157 by Ava Dougal.
