About the Author:

Monica Kelsey grew up in Paulding, Ohio and graduated from Paulding High School. She served our country as a Yeoman in the United States Navy for eight years. She then pursued a career as a medic and firefighter, serving the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. Monica is the mother of 3 grown children and wife of Joe Kelsey, currently the Mayor of Woodburn, Indiana.

Monica founded Safe Haven Baby Boxes, a 501c3 nonprofit. Safe Haven Baby Boxes educates and creates awareness about saving infants from abandonment.
