Antwerp Police


On May 3 Officers assisted a parent with a mentally unstable juvenile. Juvenile was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

On May 3 A resident called and asked questions in reference to repossessing vehicle as she was the co signer of the vehicle.

On May 2 A resident of North Garden Apartments reported that she believed someone had attempted to break into her vehicle.

On May 2 A domestic dispute was reported at a resident in the village. The dispute was merely an argument amongst family members, nothing physical had occurred.

On May 2 A resident of the Park Avenue Villas reported a green Jeep Cherokee was driving erratically through the apartment complex.

On May 2 An Antwerp Village council member came to police department and reported what he believed was two junk vehicles. One located on Wentworth and other one located at resident on West Canal. The officer checked the vehicles in question and will send the property owners a notice.

On April 30 A resident of the village reported that her daughter was being harassed via Facebook. The officer contacted all the individuals involved and prepared a report.

On April 30 Paulding Sheriff dispatch informed one of the Antwerp officers that  there was a 911 call emanating from a cell phone at the Antwerp Bank. Dispatcher advised they spoke with the person and the person stated it was an accidental dial. The officer went to bank, secured the area then contacted the phone number that had dialed 911 and spoke to a resident of the village and he explained he had dropped his phone and it had got wedged between the seat and it had dialed 911.

On April 30 A resident of River Street reported that sometime during the night someone backed into his fence and he wanted to make a report.

On April 29 A vehicle was parked at the Manor House parking lot. After being parked the vehicle rolled forward and struck another vehicle. The officer responded and prepared an accident report. 

On April 27 An officer responded to a residence on Maddison Street in reference to a child custody issue. While there, he was assisted by Paulding County deputies, one of the people involved had a warrant for his arrest for domestic violence and he was arrested at the scene by deputies.

On April 27 A domestic dispute was reported at a residence on Washington Street. A fight had occurred between 18 year old brother and 20 year old sister. The fight started over the brother refusing to do dishes. Physical violence had occurred, both were arrested for domestic violence.

On April 26 A hit-skip motor vehicle accident occurred in the Antwerp school parking lot. With the assistance of the high school principal, and the Antwerp school resource officer, officers were able to conduct an investigation and locate the person responsible.

On April 26 An officer transported suspected methamphetamine evidence to the crime lab in Bowling Green. 

On April 25 An officer responded to an alarm at a local business, it was determined that an employee accidentally set the alarm off when opening.

On April 24 An officer was called to Erie Street in reference to an unresponsive male. An officer responded, officer administered CPR on the individual until the EMS arrived. The officer assisted EMS with the individual, the officer and EMS loaded the individual into the ambulance and the individual was taken to the hospital.
