Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, is sad to announce Stockings for Soldiers 2020 has been canceled due to COVID 19.
For the past 12 years Den Herder Funeral Home with the help of our generous community, has brought a little Christmas to our military forces in many foreign lands. Stockings filled with Christmas surprises and Christmas cheer have been sent to military persons in lands such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa, Mediterranean Sea, Iran, a military hospital in Germany to name a few.
We were recently notified that military installations abroad will not be accepting the stockings due to COVID 19. We can all agree that the health and safety of our troops is most important.
We want to thank everyone who has participated in our program in the past, and look forward to making Stockings for Soldiers 2021 bigger and better than ever.
