DAV Recognized for 100 Years of Service

Paulding County Commissioner Mark Holtsberry presents the proclamation to 1st Commander Robert Habern and Jonathon Lichty, Paulding County Veterans’ Service Officer.

The Paulding County Commissioners recognized and acknowledged the proclamation that honors the 100th Anniversary of Disabled American Veterans that was founded by WWI veterans on September  25, 1920 and chartered by an act of Congress on June 17, 1932. The 100th anniversary of taking care of veterans and their families and a full range of benefits available to them. The DAV provides assistance to veterans and represents their interests. It also provides emergency assistance and job fair program, along with Disaster Relief and a scholarship program.

Paulding County and Ohio are proud to honor the members of the Disabled American Veterans. This was signed by Commissioners Tony Zartman and Mark Holtsberry. Roy Klopfenstein was on leave. 

This was presented to Robert Habern and Jonathon Lichty, Purple Heart earner. Habern also reported his specially designed commemoration coin made for this event.
