Daeger Claims Golf Medal at Invite

For the second straight day, Wayne Trace senior golfer Kenadie Daeger broke the school record for an individual round with a 74 in the Defiance Girls Golf Invitational at Auglaize Golf Course on Saturday, August 8. Daeger’s round helped the Lady Raiders also win their second consecutive tournament in capturing the team championship as well.

Daeger, Raiders Open With Record, Win

BRYAN – Wayne Trace senior girls golfer Kenadie Daeger started the 2020 season off in style and the rest of the Lady Raiders did as well taking individual and team championships in the Montpelier Girls Golf Invitational at Suburban Golf Course Friday.

Daeger captured the tournament medalist honors with a round of 75, which also set a new school record for an individual round.

As a team, the Lady Raiders also picked up a first-place finish with a total of 364 compared to second place Fairview’s 374. Wauseon finished third with a team score of 375.

Daeger broke the previous record for an individual round of 78, which was set by Gracie Gudakunst.

Besides Daeger’s 75, Emma Crosby and Alena Denny each shot a 95 for the red, white, and blue with Chloe Parker carding a 99. Riley Daeger posted a 109 and Kristin Wannemacher recorded a 111 as well for Wayne Trace.
