HISTORY, HISTORY

This photo is of the Bee Argus Print Shop in its final years, but to me its history goes way back.

As far back as I remember about 1930, in that building was the Frank Reeb grocery store and I think later on his son, Ray, and his boy, John, helped out there.

I have had people tell me that there was another building here on our right, now that might be right, but it must have been before 1930.

In June of 1914, D.C. Bickhard and his family arrived and took over the print shop and the weekly paper, The Bee Argus, from the original owner, N.G. Osborne.

The Bickhard’s owned and operated the paper for years in another location and then moved down to this address.

There has been a number of owners, the last being the James Temple family.

See ya!
