1st Annual Dean Shrider Memorial Ride & Vendor Event

On August 17, 2019 plan to grab your motorcycle and ride for awareness. Look Twice! Save A Life! The 1st Annual Dean Shrider Memorial Ride & Vendor Event is set for this day at the Stryker Fire Hall, 200 S Depot St., Stryker, OH.

The Poker Run will start with signups at 10:00 a.m. and kickstands up at 12:00 p.m. Vendors will be open at 10:00 a.m. and will be available until 5:00 p.m. Vendors on this day include: Pink Zebra, Thirty-One, Posh, Pure Romance, Lilla Rose, Dinosaur Us, Mary Kay, Damsel In Defense, Pampered Chef, Premier Jewelry, and more.

There will also be many delicious food vendors and baked goods for all. Raffles and 50/50 drawings will also be available.

This fundraiser will benefit the Dean Shrider Memorial Fund to help other fallen riders and families during their time in need following a crash.

Shrider was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2018. Shrider was a Payne and Stryker fire fighter, employed by Defiance Metal Products, Harbor Freight, and Superior Auto. He was also a member of the Yankee Motorcycle Club.

The family started this fund to help raise awareness for motorcycles. In 2016, over 5,000 deaths were as a result of a motorcycle accident. Looking twice when in a vehicle at a stop sign/light increases motorists’ awareness of their surroundings helping to promote safer roads for motorcyclists.
