Meyer Signs Letter of Intent

Woodlan Senior, Isaac Meyer signed his letter of intent for Marian University in Indianapolis, IN. He will play football for the Knights in his freshman season. Meyer is planning to major in Sociology and minor in Criminal Justice. Over the summer, he worked as an Intern for the New Haven Police Department, participating in ride alongs with Officer Steve Priory.

Meyer has been much involved throughout his high school career. Besides being a defensive end for the Warriors football team, Meyer threw shot put and disc, and ran the 4×4 and 4×8 for the Track team. In ACAC, Meyer was named Defensive 1st team for two years. He was the captain of the football team his senior year. In track, Meyer earned 1st team status for the 4×8 relay.

In academics, Meyer has enjoyed english, government and history class the most. Out of doors, he says he loves to go fishing on Lake James.

Football coach, Sherwood Haydock, commented on Meyer’s signing, “He is very deserving of this with his 4 years of hard work and dedication. We look forward to great things for Isaac.”

Isaac Meyer lives in Woodburn with his parents, Roger and Kris, and his sister, Caroline. They are members of Christ Lutheran Church in Woodburn.
