Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schmidt will be celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on February 26. Richard Schmidt and Joan Ames were married in Payne, OH on February 26, 1949. They are the parents of four children: Jill (Tedd) Porter, Jim (Terese) Schmidt, Jay (Jodie) Schmidt and Stephen, deceased. They have 6 grandchildren: Kierin Porter, Andrew, Anna, Sophia and Joe Schmidt and Emma (Anthony) Stoller.
