Antwerp gets past Lady Panthers

ANTWERP – The Antwerp Archers opened a six point lead at the end of one period and went on to a 38-32 win over Parkway Saturday afternoon at the home of the Archers.

After posting a 12-6 advantage at the end of eight minutes of action, the blue and white extended the lead to 20-10 at the intermission. Antwerp was on top 28-23 at the end of three periods.

Parkway was paced by Claire Eichler with nine points. Kristine Kirby, Rachel Barrett and Shaelyn Thomas all had five for the Panthers and Alexandria Ford bucketed four markers. Leah Harshman and Kelsey Nichols also picked up two points each for Parkway.

Astianna Coppes bucketed 14 points to lead Antwerp with Heather Oberlin adding nine markers.

Chelsea Johanns (six), Karsyn Brumett (four), Tiera Gomez (three) and Laura Miller (one) were the other scorers for the blue and white.
