Blake Schultz, a student at Payne Elementary, approached his student council representatives earlier in the year with an idea to help the victims of the hurricanes. The student council decided to take up a collection at school for an entire week with all donations being given to the local Red Cross. The Payne Elementary students collected $210.80 which they recently presented to the local executive director of the Red Cross, Mr. Derek Stemen.
