MAYOR McDonald ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL TRICK OR TREAT HOURS IN NEW HAVEN

New Haven Trick or Treating Hours – October 31st 6:00-8:00 p.m.

The City of New Haven has set its official Trick or Treat hours in New Haven for Wednesday, October 31,

2018 from 6:00-8:00 pm. “Additional police officers and other officials from the Fire Department will be on staff during this period to ensure the safety of everyone,” said Police Chief Henry McKinnon. Mayor McDonald is asking, all motorists to exercise extra caution during this time as children venture through neighborhoods and cross intersections and to remind parents to have children visit only those houses with their lights on.

Downtown on Broadway – 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Mayor McDonald is also encouraging everyone to bring their kids to downtown New Haven and venture down Broadway where local business owners will participate in handing out treats to children from 4:00-6:00 pm. The Fire & EMS vehicles will also be on display for the kids.

Halloween Carnival at Schnelker Park – 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.

If you don’t want your child going door to door for treats, the Halloween Carnival is scheduled from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Schnelker Park in New Haven where children are invited to receive treats and participate in games and other events. This event is sponsored by Impact Community Church and is free to the public.
