PAULDING – In the season opener for high school volleyball, it was host Paulding who posted a victory over county rival Antwerp Saturday night as the Lady Panthers took the win in four sets.
Paulding opened the match with a 25-10 victory over the Archers before Antwerp tied the match with a 28-26 game two win.
The Lady Panthers then wrapped up the match by taking the next two games, winning game three 25-22 before taking game four 25-13.
Sadie Estle led the way for the maroon and white with 23 kills and six blocks while Mallory Taylor added ten kills and six blocks.

Haylee Dominique also added nine kills and Leigha Egnor contributed seven kills, five aces and ten assists. Asia Arellano and Megan Tope each posted five digs for the Lady Panthers while Jalynn Parrett finished with seven kills. Kristen Razo also recorded 20 assists and two aces.
Antwerp picked up 24 assists and five kills from Chloe Franklin while Kaitlyn Hamman added two assists, 13 digs and 11 kills.
Karsyn Brumett chipped in 17 digs and Alyssa Fuller contributed 15 digs and a dozen kills.
The Lady Archers were victorious in the junior varsity contest as Antwerp recorded the 25-18, 25-22 win over the Panthers.
Antwerp’s freshman team also took home a victory, posting a 26-24 and 25-8 victory.
