What’s new at Harlan Days?

The Harlan Days Festival has been going on every August for the last 71 years. Originally it started as a celebration that the fields had been planted and it would soon be time to harvest. The Harlan Community has carried on this fun tradition ever since. If you haven’t attended the festival for a few years, we’d like to share with you what you’ve been missing!

The massive ‘Arts & Crafts Tent’ is growing again and will now feature over 50 booths. Our food selection is growing as well and will host over 15 varying food vendors and trucks, including BBQ, apple dumplings, ice cream, cheese curds and many more. The old talent show stage makes its return adding a second opportunity to catch some fun live music. The car show is growing as well, come out and browse over 100 gorgeous late model vehicles.

Fun for the kids is our main goal! Every evening of the festival kids can battle it out in the Archery Tag Arena. Saturday afternoon is also a great time to bring the kids and enjoy the petting zoo, kickball game, pony rides, bounce house, game tent, tractor pull, all of which are free! The arena shows start each night at 7:30. Perhaps most exciting may be the new carnival and midway featuring 12 new rides for the little ones, teens and adults. Throughout the entire festival, ‘Ride-All-Night’ wrist bands will be available.

Don’t miss the fun and this opportunity to support a wonderful local event for the benefit of the Harlan Community. Mark your calendar for this year’s festival on August 2, 3 & 4. The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Find us online for more info.
