KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE:
Former Paulding resident, Norma Jean Leslie, age 88 died Sunday, June 3, 2018.
She was born October 29, 1929 in Blue Creek Township, Paulding County, the daughter of the late Dale and Violet (Showalter) Gantt. In 1953 she married James Roy Leslie who preceded her in death on April 7, 2009. She was a program assistant for the Paulding County ASC office, a teacher’s aid at Antwerp Schools as well as the office manager at Strait Realty. She was a former member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding; Crane Township Women’s Club; and Coroner Chapter #95 OES.
She is survived by two sons, James S. Leslie, Canandaigua, NY, and Richard A. (Sondra) Leslie, Kingsport, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Saturday, June 9 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Paulding County.
Visitation will be 3 – 8 PM Friday, June 8 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to Paulding VFW or St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
