Voices of the People Make Local Improvements

Voices of the People volunteered their time to make local improvements this past Tuesday, May 22nd and Thursday, May 24th. Voices of the People is an advocacy group affiliated with the Williams County Board of DD.

Twelve volunteers helped over the two days. Volunteers helped with trimming and mulching at the Williams County Humane Society on Tuesday. On Thursday, they helped to beautify Opdyke Park by adding a new flower bed and improving an existing bed. Todd Roth of the Williams County Engineers Office assisted with the project and was pleased with the outcome. A local bride and groom was able to enjoy the improvements.

The next Voices of the People volunteer project is serving lunch at the Summer Food Lunch Program at Edon Henry Baker Park on June 1st and 20th. Advocacy events and meetings are for individuals served or eligible for services through the Williams County Board of DD. For more information about this group contact Joan Miller, Community Inclusion Specialist, at 419-485-8331 or email her at jmiller@wmsco.org.
