Six runs in fourth dooms Warriors in loss

With the two teams tied at 1-1 midway through the game, Canterbury took control of the contest with a six-run fourth inning in recording a 7-5 victory over Woodlan in sectional baseball action last week.

The Warriors did get four runs in the seventh inning but came up short in seeing their season come to an end with a record of 9-13-1.

Aaron Hahn paced the way for Woodlan at the plate, hitting a double and a home run in the contest with four runs batted in.

Connor Knoblauch added a pair of singles for the Warriors and scored twice. Blake Fuller, Luke Crilly and Trevor Wallace also had singles for Woodlan.

Crilly scored a run and had a run batted in as well for the Warriors with Blake Bontrager scoring a run as well.

Connor Waterman took the loss on the mound for the Warriors, pitching 4-1/3 innings and striking out three batters.

Fuller fanned a pair of hitters as well in 1-2/3 innings of relief action.
