Joseph DeBoer earns elite scholarship from Indiana Tech

Joseph DeBoer, son of Angie Deboer and Jim DeBoer, of Payne, Ohio, has earned the Engineering and Computer Sciences Scholarship to attend Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

DeBoer, a senior at Wayne Trace High School, will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Indiana Tech this fall. He, along with other elite scholarship recipients, received his award at a banquet in Fort Wayne on Friday, March 23. He will receive $15,000 for his freshman year, and $15,000 for each of the next three years, provided he meets the school’s academic criteria.

Joseph is a student ambassador at Vantage Career Center and a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He is OSHA-certified and CompTIA IT Fundamentals-certified. Joseph enjoys hiking outdoors, hanging out with friends, video games and going to the movies.
