Oakwood, Ohio—On Thursday, May 10, 2018, at 9:38 p.m., deputies were dispatched to 15648 Road 1037 Oakwood, Ohio, for a man who shot his grandson.
Investigators determined 73 year old William R. Miller II shot his 19 year old grandson, Evan Andrew Holcombe, in the chest. Holcombe was deceased when deputies arrived at the scene. The Paulding County Coroner’s Office was on scene coordinating with the Sheriff’s Office investigators. Both Miller and Holcombe resided together at the Road 1037 address.
Miller was arrested at the scene and booked at the Paulding County Jail on one count of Murder, an unclassified Felony. He will appear before the Paulding County Court via video arraignment on Monday May 14, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
