Tinora FFA Wins 1st Annual Paulding FFA Trap Shoot Competition

By: Reporter Sydney Reineck

The Paulding FFA held its 1st Annual Trap Shoot competition at the Paulding Fish and Game Club on Saturday April 21, 2018. The Paulding FFA just started their trap shooting program this year and they wanted to get other FFA chapters involved by hosting a competition. There were five schools in attendance which were Paulding, Tinora, Crestview, Parkway, and a team made up of different schools. Each team consisted of five members who each shot a round of 25 clay pigeons. Their scores were then added to make up their team’s total score.  The highest scorer of the day was Ries Wachtman from Tinora. Ries hit 20  out of 25 pigeons. The highest scorer from Paulding was Owen Carnahan with a score of 19 out of 25. Tinora’s team won the competition with a total score of 91. The Paulding FFA chapter plans to continue the trap shoot program and competition next year and, hopefully gaining more teams. The Paulding FFA would like to recognize the Paulding Fish and Game Club for hosting the event and The Awards Shop for donating the traveling trophy for the competition.
