Forest Paul Hyme, age 4 of Junction City, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Fairfield Medical Center. Forest was born February 24, 2014 in Lancaster, the son of Matt and Katie (Vail) Hyme. He attended Lancaster Community Church with his parents. Forest was a ball of fire; he loved fishing, swinging and playing with his diggers in the dirt. Forest had an incredible light and life force. Sweet and funny, Forest loved being outdoors, building things, and most of all, being with his family.
He is survived by his parents, Matt and Katie (Vail) Hyme, of Junction City; brothers, Andrew and Troy Hyme, of the home; grandparents, Patrick and Dixie Vail, of Bremen and Mary Hyme, of Lancaster; many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Andy Hyme; Aunt, Rebecca Vail; great Uncle, “Moon”.
A celebration of Forest’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Lancaster Community Church/The Tree, 230 N. Columbus St., Lancaster with Pastors Phil Venrick and Matthew Johnson officiating. Interment will follow. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME and 1 hour prior to the service Friday at church.
