Celebrate Earth Day with us by making a reusable t-shirt book bag!

The Cooper Community Library, a branch of the Paulding County Carnegie Library, will be making reusable T-shirt book bags in the Cooper Community Room on Monday, April 23, at 5:00 p.m.  This a free program but space is limited and registration is required. No sewing skills are needed; however, children should be able to cut straight lines or have an adult present to assist.  T-shirts will be provided but selection of certain colors is limited. Or bring one from home! Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22. Worldwide, various events are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day events in more than 193 countries are now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network.

The Cooper Community Branch Library (est. 2000) was the third branch to open in the Paulding County Carnegie Library system. For over fifteen years, the branch has become the hub and heart of the community, sponsoring programs and events throughout the year. In 2017, over 20,000 people visited this branch library with over 4,200 attending programs. Library patrons also borrowed or used over 35,000 library items. Follow the branch library on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/coopercommunitybranchlibrary/ for upcoming events.
