UPCOMING PARENT – PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

WELCOME: Parents, Caregivers, Educators, Professionals!

WHAT: “COFFEE & DESSERT” PARENT – PROFESSIONAL TRAINING – This FREE training is sponsored by the Parent Mentor Program and Western Buckeye, ESC, of Paulding County.

TRAINING TOPIC: “The Bull Stops Here: Understanding Bullying and What You Can Do to Help”, with Presenter Pam Cotrell, Information Specialist & Trainer, Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities

Participants will gain an understanding of the dynamics of bullying. The various types of bullying and common characteristics of children who are targeted and children who exhibit bullying behaviors will be explored. There will be discussion about ways to help a child who is a target, children who are bystanders, and the child who is exhibiting bully behavior. Cooperative approaches for parents and educators to address and prevent bullying will be discussed.

Training Location: Antwerp Local Schools, 303 S. Harrmann Rd., Antwerp, Ohio

There is no cost to attend the Parent—Professional Trainings. Pre-registration is               preferred, walk-ins welcome! Certificate of Attendance available upon request.
