ANTWERP, OH
Nettie J. Mabis age 92 died Sunday, December 10, 2017.
She was born November 9, 1925 in Adams County, Indiana, the daughter of Emanuel and Sylvia (Brentlinger) Miller. On April 7, 1946 she married Russell J. Mabis, who preceded her in death on October 23, 2002. She retired in 1986 from General Electric of Fort Wayne, and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Payne.
She is survived by four children: Beverly Stevenson, Antwerp, Rebecca (Jerry) Stebing, Antwerp, Tim Mabis, Payne, and Tom Mabis, Lebanon, IN; a brother, Lloyd Miller, Decatur, IN, 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Nina Ross, Mildred Sills, Margaret Myers, Goldie Cook, Dorothy Springer, and Zeal Miller.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Friday, December 15 at St. James Lutheran Church, Payne with Pastor Fred Meuter officiating. Burial will follow in Wiltsie Cemetery, Payne.
There will be visitation on 4 – 8 PM Thursday, December 14 at St. James Lutheran Church, Payne. There will also be visitation on Friday from 2 PM until services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations made to Van Crest of Antwerp Activity Fund.
