ACC Gun Raffle Winner

On July 1st, the winner of the Henry 45-70 rifle raffle by the Antwerp Conservation Club was drawn at our 4th of July Celebration. The winner was Don Mozena from Ashley Indiana. The proceeds from the raffle are being raised for improvements at the club. Don is an employee of Vulcraft Indiana and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoys all aspects of the outdoors. He has hunted and fished in several US states and in Canada.  The rifle was purchased at McDougall’s Firearms in Antwerp Ohio. We would like to thank everyone who helped with selling and purchase of raffle tickets.

We are now selling raffle tickets for a Henry Golden Boy 22 Rifle custom engraved with “Antwerp Conservation Club 2017”. The rifle was on display at our monthly meeting on August 10th. It is a beautiful looking rifle. Contact a club officer or stop by and see us at any of our upcoming events to purchase or pick up tickets to sell. The rifle we be on display at the Antique Tractor and Steam Show on August 18th-20th. It will also be on display at the Flat Rock Creek festival September 15th-17th. Raffle tickets will also be available at our monthly shoots held at the club.

The club has several events planned for this fall. On October 7th we will be holding a Practical Tactical Match. This will be a two gun match. Centerfire Pistol and Centerfire Rifle. Three challenging stages are planned. It will a test of skills and a race against the clock. This event is a charity fund raiser for the Marines Toys for Tots. We will have raffle drawings, items for sale, door prizes and much more. For more information on this event or to donate, contact Aaron Kohler at aaron.kohler@yahoo.com. Some other upcoming events are 22 Rifle Silhouette shoot on September 2nd. 22 Pistol on August 19th, September 16th and October 21st. Shotgun Still Shoots will be held on November 5th, December 3rd and January 1st with more planned for 2018. November and December Still Shoots will be fund raisers for Christmas for kids of Paulding County. Starting in January 1st, 2018, the Still Shoots will be fund raisers for our scholarship program.

Your local conservation club is growing. New programs are being added for 2018. We will be doing youth only events sponsored by the club, 4-H Shooting Sports of Paulding County, Shotgun, Centerfire Pistol, Archery and more. Come out and join us if any of these things interest you. Memberships for 2018 are now available.
