The Woodlan FFA Chapter donated over 475 food items to the local Food Bank from their community service project. The donated food was brought by participating 2nd graders as their admission price to attend the Woodlan FFA, Wabash-Erie Canal, and Demonstration Field Day. The Wabash-Erie Canal Day Demonstrations are held on the school grounds of Woodlan Jr.-Sr. High School as the Wabash-Erie Canal is located adjacent to the school grounds. This Woodlan FFA demonstration event and community service project was held on Friday, September 16th.  The Wabash- Erie Canal Day has become an annual event where this year’s area 2nd graders from six different area schools participated.  Seventy Woodlan FFA members guided the students to eleven different demonstration areas where they learned the practices of that time era. The stations included old tools, tiling, cooking, straw maize, pumpkin decorating, and clothes washing to list a few. Over 450, 2nd graders were in attendance.
