Fourth grade students at Central Lutheran School spent the week celebrating the 100th birthday of the American National Park Service! Lessons in each subject area were designed around this theme.  Students researched many of our national parks and presented their findings through various multi-media reports. They also took a virtual trip to their chosen park. Throughout the week students were able to read in tents with flashlights and enjoy indoor camping. Students were excited to learn that in celebration of its centennial, the National Park Service is offering a free annual parks pass to all fourth graders nationwide with their Every Kid in a Park program.   This week allowed students many opportunities to learn more about our national landscape and their role in conservation and keeping America beautiful!
