Louise Sarah Birkhold, 76, of Sandusky, formerly of Payne. passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016.
Louise was born in Paulding a daughter of the late Carolus & Enid (Greene) Birkhold.
She was a teacher at Huron City Schools and worked at the Sandusky Best Western/Days Inn for many years, but was just as content to lend a hand at the Huron Summer Playhouse, where she enjoyed the opera, ballet and concerts.
Her willingness to put others first was evident in her memberships in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sandusky College Women’s Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, Erie County Retired Teachers Assn & the Adopt-A-School mission team.
She will be sadly missed by her brother, Jon of Glenmont and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Her memorial service is 2 pm Saturday, Aug. 13th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 502 Bardshar Road, Sandusky.
Her funeral service is 11 AM, with viewing one hour prior on Monday, Aug. 15th at St. James Lutheran Church, Payne.
Viewing is also Sunday, Aug. 14th, 2 – 5 pm Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.
She will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery.
