Following the win over Allen East, the Raiders went on to compete against Delphos Jefferson on Saturday afternoon at the Van Wert complex.
The Wayne Trace Raiders have had a good year this season. Before this game they were 16-7. Their opponents – Delphos Jefferson have also had a great year with a record of 15-7.
This game started closely for both teams and continued this way until the second period when Ethan Linder, Alec Vest and Luke Miller kept hitting the basket and added up the Raider side of the board. The half finished 29-17 when Wayne Trace kept DJ to score only 4 points in the second period.
The next half was much better for Jefferson, but it was too late. They outscored Wayne Trace in the third quarter. The Raiders came back and tied the last half to take the win 67-58. This game could have gone either way, it was a good thing for Wayne Trace they scored early and often in the beginning.
