VanBrocklin hauls in more points to the Warrior feast at Friday’s game against South Adams.

The Woodlan Warriors, closing in on the end of the season quickly hosted the South Adams varsity team on Friday, October 10 at the Etzler Field. The game started a little slow with the Warrior defense attempting to understand the opponent’s offense. Early on, the team was giving a few yards to the Starfires, but quickly the home team got back in the groove and even caused a couple of fumbles at the end of the first quarter and into the second.

The boys, showing their support for their female friends and family, wore hot pink to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness month for October.

The first two touchdowns were by Mitchell VanBrocklin—one each in the first and second quarters. Both of the point afters for these missed the mark. Before half time began, Woodlan had the opportunity to add 3 more points with a field goal. It was successful by Quentin Graber.

Two fumbles by Drake Deitsch of South Adams and one was picked up by the Warriors in the first half.

The top tackler with 10 to his resume for the home team was Jordan Delagrange and the runner-up was Blake Acosta with nine. Joe Kayser and Alec Evans each had an interception.

Woodlan continued the trend they began in the first half with 14 points in the third and 7 points in the fourth.

The final score was 37-0.

Woodlan points: Trevon McCarter 6; William Harding 6; Jeremiah Cassell 6; Mitchell VanBrocklin 12; Quentin Graber 7.
