One Injured in Commercial Vehicle Crash on State Route 637

Grover Hill – The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle injury crash that occurred on State Route 637 north of Grover Hill.

At 2:20a.m. this morning, a 2012 Volvo semi-tractor trailer operated by Gregory Burns of Marion, Ohio was traveling southbound on State Route 637 north of Grover Hill. Mr. Burn’s semi, transporting automotive parts, traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a driveway access and overturned. Mr. Burns sustained serious injuries as a result of the traffic crash and was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio for treatment.

The crash resulted in a temporary closure of State Route 637 and has since been reopened.

Mr. Burns was seat belted, and alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Van Wert Post was assisted by Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Grover Hill Fire and EMS, Paulding County EMA, , and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
