It was the last game for young Hunter Louden. The Warriors started Tuesday evening on December 24th and Hunter Louden finished the game with the last basket.

The game began in a close match in the first quarter with Woodlan hauling points in and senior Elyjah O’Hara leading the charge. That first quarter was the Warriors hitting the basket over and over and it was good. After the first quarter and some fouls, the Fremont team was able to get back their groove and the momentum turned away from the Warriors. The half finished at 43-38 and Regadanz from Fremont was able take the lead.

The second half was continuing as the second quarter did. The Warriors would narrow the difference in the fourth quarter. Then Hunter Louden came into the game. It may have been painful, because he had been injured in the Woodlan football game against Eastside in a tackle. Being a senior, this was his last year to play for the Warrior team.

Hunter is a native of New Haven and recently turned 18. His parents are Tony and Ginger Louden. He has opted to have surgery to mend his injury. This procedure could have waited until the end of the season, but it didn’t make much sense when colleges and universities are pursuing him for football now. He wants to be completely ready for his freshman year. His surgery is this week to repair his torn Labrum. It will take 3-5 months time to recover and be ready to play football in college.

Hunter, with only seconds left in the game, received the pass and shot a layup from up under the basket. His attempt was completely successful and finished the game and his basketball career. Great job to Hunter!
The game was good even though the Warriors fell and Fremont took home the victory. Final scores: Fremont 83,  Woodlan 69.
