The MAC Tigers girls team traveled to Fort Wayne Spiece Fieldhouse for AYBT National Basketball Tournament. The girls finished 2nd losing 30-28 in finals to the Findlay Lady Bombers. The local squad was 7-2 for the week, defeating Team Swat 24-18, Legit 36-23, Michigan Center 41-30, Always 100, Findlay 29-28, the Rebels twice 28-27 and 35-21. 32-23 to reach finals.
The girls finish season with 33-8 record. Finishing 1st or 2nd in every tournament entered. The team consists of girls from area: Claire Sinn, Wayne Trace; Ivy Riggenbach and Syd McCullough, Paulding; Addie Bayman, Woodlan; Lexi and Bailey Gregory, Crestview; Shea Pedroza, Tinora; Ally Cape, Madison Smith, Emma Siebenaler, Edgerton; and Brooke Smith, Leo. Team coached by Mark Gregory and Ron Riggenbach. Ally Cape also won Girls 3 pt. Contest and 2nd overall losing 12-10 to the boys champ.
