HICKSVILLE, OHIO
Ardon Bauer, 93, died Tuesday June 24, 2014 at The Laurels of Defiance, Defiance, Ohio.
Ardon was born on August 5, 1920 the son of the late Roy C and Berniece (McFeters) Bauer in Hicksville, Ohio. He was a 1939 graduate of Hicksville High School.
Ardon was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army 95th Infantry Division. He was awarded two Bronze Stars.
In November of 1945 Ardon was united in marriage to Mildred Putzkilo. She preceded him in death on November 24, 2008.
Ardon was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Hicksville. He was a janitor at the Hicksville High School for 22 years and was also a plasterer.
He is survived by a daughter Tracy (Michael) Ondrejko and a daughter in law Faye Bauer; five grandchildren Brian Hattersley of Georgetown, TX, Matthew and Lexi Wachtman, Aleksander and Alena Ondrejko all of Defiance; a great grand daughter Brianna Hattersley; a sister Veda (Norm) Terrell, a brother Glen (Mary) Bauer, and a sister in law Joann Bauer all of Hicksville.
He was preceded in death by a son Greg, a sister Katherine Eadie, two brothers Robert and Claron.
Visitation for Ardon will be Thursday 4:00-8:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 at St, Michaels Catholic Church in Hicksville. Burial will be at Six Corners Cemetery.
