Antwerp gets their revenge after falling to the Raiders baseball team earlier in the season in a rescheduled match. This was part of the program the TinCaps and Parkview Field setup with competitive high schools on both sides of the state line. Antwerp took on Wayne Trace in the first game of the evening with Leo and Woodlan taking the field post.

Trenton Copsey led the Archers with 2 singles and a double for 3 RBIs. Derck Smalley added 2 singles for a pair of RBIs. Marcus McVay paced the Raiders with 2 hits. The Archers threw 4 different pitchers who combined to give up 4 runs on 6 hits. The Raiders also threw 4 pitchers who gave up 8 runs on 6 hits. Tyler Messman pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn the win and Joe Burkley was credited with the save. The game was strong for Antwerp the entire time against the Raiders and finished the match 8-4.

The Archers and Raiders would like to thank Parkview Field and Ortho NorthEast (ONE) for the awesome experience of playing. We would also like to thank the community for coming out to the ballpark and supporting the teams.

The Leo Lions collected 14 hits and 12 runs and used the trip to Parkview Field to extend their lead in the ACAC boys’ baseball race with a 12-2 five-inning win over the Woodlan Warriors. Woodlan had a brief 2-0 in the top of the first, but Leo scored everytime they came to bat in the game and picked up 5 runs in the fourth to seal the game.

Carter Davis led the Leo offense, going 4-4 in the game with a triple, a double, a pair of singles, and 4 RBIs. Treg Haberkorn gave up one hit to the Warriors and struck out 9 on the mound to get the win while Brad Barker took the loss for Woodlan while Woodlan fell to a tight Leo team.
