After Wayne Trace defeated both Edgerton and Ada over the weekend, the Raiders competed once again against the Aces at home on Monday, February 17.

The JV game terminated early due to the weather deteriorating outside and the varsity game began immediately. Wayne Trace was in the lead 16-7 at the end of 12 minutes.

There was no doubt Wayne Trace had this year’s Green Meadows Conference Boys Basketball Title clinched before the game began after it defeated Edgerton on Friday.

The Aces defense was not able to stop the Raiders in the Palace. Their offense was shutdown from the beginning by the home team and there was nothing the Hicksville boys could do to stop them. One player really stood out for the guest team and that was Garrett Crall who scored 1 – 3 point basket and 3 free throws and a total of 16 points. On the home team Corbin Linder scored 4 – 3 point baskets. This game really stood out from others with 30 of the Raider points coming from 3 point baskets.

Wayne Trace spread their points around the entire team, making the win a real team effort. Coach Linder and the assistants have worked hard with this team and it really shows.

The fast-paced game rarely stopped and the game finished with Wayne Trace in the lead 66-27.
