This last girls basketball game of the regular season conference took place at the Palace on Thursday, February 13 with two top teams of the GMC.

Is this practice game for the tournament? Both teams will come together once again in sectionals.

The game opened with the Raiders grabbing the ball. Brenda Feasby scored the first basket for Wayne Trace at 4:22 on the clock. The Lady Raiders defense struggled to hold down Edgerton and let them get ahead 0-9. The Lady Raiders were back in the game quick enough though and finished the quarter even.

The second quarter once again started with the home team finding it difficult to stop the Edgerton offense who more than doubled the points WT scored and finished the half at 18-28.

It was in the second half where Wayne Trace got it’s wind back and they literally reversed the quarter scoring of the first half and the game was tied at 46. Lauren Speice had the highest points for the Raider side of the board and had a great game from the beginning.

The first overtime tied once again at 51. Overtime for the second time is where the Bulldogs took the lead and won. Either way it was a close match!
