It was a year ago when the Woodlan boys basketball team moved on to the ACAC championship game to take on the Bluffton Tigers at Fort Wayne War Memorial Coliseum and they fell hard.

This year Woodlan took on Leo in the first round and won, sending them to round two at the coliseum on Thursday, January 16 against their Bluffton rivals. The game was so fast, it ended in 1 hour and 16 minutes. Woodlan was well ahead, but nearly lost the lead in the last quarter. The Tigers kept fouling Greg White in the last minute of the game but he was able to keep scoring the free-throws even under pressure.

Bluffton came within three points, leaving the Warriors to go the championship game on Saturday January 18 at noon at the same location as the Thursday night game. Final Score: Woodlan 58 – Bluffton 55.

In the second game Garrett defeated Adams Central boys 54-49. The Railroaders in the past have been a difficult team to beat. It will certainly be a good game to see on Saturday.
