Audrey Buehrer of Avilla and Kenneth Halferty of Albion, IN were united in marriage on October 18, 1953 by the Rev. Fuhrman Miller in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Avilla, IN. After a four year enlistment in the Air Force and completion of a pharmacy degree at Purdue, the couple settled in New Haven, where they raised their family, Kirby (deceased) and Valerie (Halferty) Graham.
They have remained in the area for the past 53 years. During these years, Ken was a retail pharmacist and retired as a staff pharmacist from Lutheran Hospital of Indiana.
On vacation Ken and Audrey enjoyed traveling to the following places: Haiti, Mexico, Ireland (four times), England, Scotland, Wales, Israel, Canada, a number of the States and also Alaska. They are members of the First Assembly of God Church on 1400 W. Washington Center Rd., Fort Wayne, IN.
