Audrey Lynne Moore, 35, of Payne, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord &
Savior at 11:25 am Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Van Wert Inpatient
Hospice Center after bravely fighting a lengthy battle with cancer.
Audrey was born in Paulding, Ohio on February 16, 1977, a daughter of
Nancy (Thompson) and Tony Burkley. On August 26, 2000 she married Chad
Moore. She was the Director of Student Life at IPFW and enjoyed
providing the Orientation program for students and parents and
instilling leadership skills in her students to provide a more
fulfilling college experience. Audrey also attended Woodburn Missionary
Church.
She graduated from Paulding High School in 1995 and received a
Bachelor’s Degree from Bowling Green State University in 1999. She
obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from Indiana University at IPFW
in 2004.
Audrey will be sadly missed by her husband, Chad; son, Dane (age 10);
daughter, Mallory (age 7) all at home; parents, Tony & Nancy Burkley of
Payne; sister, Alison Burkley of Hilton Head Island, SC. She is preceded
in death by her paternal grandparents, Marion & Bonita Burkley &
maternal grandparents, Virgil & Helen Thompson.
Her service is at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd,
Woodburn, IN at 10 am, with viewing one hour prior on Wednesday,
December 19, 2012 with Rev. Joel DeSelm officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery, Payne.
Viewing is also Tuesday, 3 to 9 pm, at Woodburn Missionary Church.
To honor Audrey’s request, the family asks that in lieu of flowers,
throws or other tributes, that donations be made to one of the following
memorials: Woodburn Missionary Church Youth Group; Community Health
Professionals (Hospice); Audrey Moore Memorial for Leadership
Development Fund or the Moore Children’s Education Fund.
