Fairview travelled to the Raider home court on Thursday, January 7. The game took place following the JV when the Raiders won by only one point.

The game began with the Raiders taking on a strong early point game led by Ethan Linder when he broke away with a steel for a first basket. It wasn’t long until the Raiders were leading the Sherwood team, 10-2. Now it looked like this would be a runaway home game, but it wasn’t that way. Quickly, the Apaches caught back up with 3 3-point baskets by Matthew Kozumplik and several other shots in the second quarter. As half-time began to arrive, the Raiders gained once again, finishing the half with a small lead, 31-28

The game continued at the tight pace through the third period when both teams kept that same momentum. The game finished with Wayne Trace having a small lead at 61-57.

Ethan Linder had an amazing 31 points in this game, one of his best ever while Matthew Kozumplik of Fairview hit 5 3-point baskets and, added to his other points totaled 25 points. Both teams played very well in this conference game.
