Armed Robbery in Cecil

sheriff police badgeAt 8:47 p.m. last evening, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office was called to an armed robbery at the Maramart-Cecil located at 17746 US 127 in northern Paulding County.

Two Caucasian subjects entered the business and demanded cash. One of the subjects had a bolt action rifle. The subject with the gun was wearing blue jeans and a flannel jacket with a black stocking cap. The other suspect was wearing tan pants and a black sweatshirt turned inside-out and a brown stocking cap.

Both suspects are believed to be young adult males. The clerk working at the time was not injured. The suspects got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An eye witness stated the suspects left northbound towards Defiance County on US 127 in a late 1980’s or 90’s black (possibly flat black) Chevy truck with black rims.

“My deputies have been following leads today in attempt to resolve this case,”said Sheriff Jason K. Landers.
