In fact, The Raiders were on top at the beginning of the fourth quarter 24-21. It was still too close to tell who would win but Wayne Trace had the upper hand.

Suddenly, the air changed and the wind blew in from another direction. The harvesting farm dust began to clear and something changed as the clock was reset.

The Raiders were inching to a first down. The refs claimed it wasn’t so after a measurement. The home team certainly was disappointed and the Rams rejuvenated. The next play Tinora scored after taking possession and the mood changed faster than a speeding bullet through an old car. Momentum had chosen it’s winner.
One after the other, the Rams picked up more while Wayne Trace had their energy sucked dryer than the Sahara.

It wasn’t a bad game at all. The Raiders performed well…until the last quarter.
The game went to the Rams along with the conference championship in a 24-40 victory.

Both teams hit over 400 on total offensive yardage: Tinora with 435, Wayne Trace had 413. Both took different approaches to the game. The Raiders produced a passing offensive and Tinora ran the ball.

Score by Quarter:
Wayne Trace: 8 8 8 0 = 24
Tinora: 7 14 0 = 19 = 40

Daron Showalter scored the first and third touchdowns for the Raiders. Jake Dingus scored the second. The Raiders scored 2 points on each in addition to the six.
More pictures at westbendnews.net

The Wayne Trace Raiders and the Tinora Rams competed for the Green Meadows Conference Title at the Raider Nation Field

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

6,7,5
1587,2911,59,552,2995,52
post-8935","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-community","category-school","category-sports","tag-football","tag-green-meadows","tag-paulding","tag-tinora","tag-title","tag-wayne-trace
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
