The crash occurred on US 127 near State Route 709 in Van Wert County.<\/p>\n<p>A southbound 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Kody Detwiler, age 24, of Ohio City, OH failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead striking the rear of a 2006 Honda Odyssey driven by Frederick Langner, age 67, of Dublin, OH.<\/p>\n<p>After striking Mr. Langer&#8217;s vehicle Mr. Detwiler&#8217;s car continued off the east side of the roadway striking a house at 14913 US 127.
