Wayne Trace and Antwerp, both with similar records, fell to Hicksville in the last three weeks. The regular season is over and the sectionals have begun. Antwerp, Hicksville and Wayne Trace all won their first round of tournament play.<\/p>\n

Saturday, October 18 The Lady Archers travelled to Hicksville for the sectional championship matchup between local rivals.
\nWinning in four sets and beating expectations, the Lady Archers won – 25-23, 16-25, 26-24, 25-21.<\/p>\n

Antwerp’s record is now 16-8 and Hicksville finishes 18-6.<\/p>\n

The Lady Archers will take on Ayersville on Tuesday, October 21 at Defiance HS at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Lady Raiders End Their Season at Sectional Finals<\/strong><\/p>\n

Raider Nation Volleyball won the first round of the sectionals on October 16 sending them to the\u00a0 Division IV Volleyball Finals at Leipsic on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

The Vikings are no stranger to competition and the Raiders were ready for the challenge. Leipsic dominated the game. The sets were all quick and the heavy handed Vidkings gave no breathing room to the Paulding County team. The closest set was a full 12 points different, sending the Raiders home quick. Final Score 3-0: Leipsic over Wayne Trace 25-9, 25-11, 25-13.<\/p>\n

Lady Panthers Finish at Sectional Finals<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Lady Panthers competed against Liberty-Benton for the sectional final on Saturday, October 18 at Liberty-Benton Tournament site.. The Findlay team had zero compassion for the Paulding girls volleyball team and won in three sets. The first set the best challenge but not much, sending Paulding home after three sets – 25-16, 25-7, 25-10. The Lady Panthers finish the 2014 season with a record of 5-17.<\/p>\n
