The Payne Fall festival took place this past weekend. The turnout was great and the vendors sold lots of food and wares.
\nOn Saturday the beautiful autumn day event began with the parade. The Wayne Trace Marching band performed very well on stage.<\/p>\n

Following the high school performance, World War II Veterans of Payne were honored for their service and longevity including Tony Adamsky, Bob Baumle, Bud King, and Bob Wannemacher. The plaques were donated by Fessel Jewelers in Payne.<\/p>\n

Kids and parents alike were having fun with the straw bales, making forts. There was a sand box for the kids to find treasure in. Instead of sand though, it was full of this season\u2019s freshly harvested corn crop.<\/p>\n

There were very old engines and tractors, and antiques to browse through and purchase. The fall fair ended up having the most cars ever with 52 on location at the Cruise In!<\/p>\n

The depot was open for anyone that wanted to see a large part of the town\u2019s history. It was a great time for the whole family and it took many people who gave their time and talents to make this happen for the community.<\/p>\n
