The stunning rainbow over New Haven High School prior to Friday night\u2019s Homecoming game against Belmont led to a sweet pot of victorious gold as the Bulldogs trumped the Braves, 21-15 in four quarters of wet and windy play.
\nOnce again, Nishawn Jones once again proved his worth as a Bulldog, rushing 35 times for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns. Also offensively, Hayden Graham rushed for 40 yards and 1 touchdown for the night.<\/p>\n

On the defensive side of the ball, Adam Hoffer came alive in the second half with 2 quarters of explosive, and at times, highly emotional play, nabbing 2.5 sacks, 4.5 tackles for loss and 8 unassisted tackles. Reportedly, Hoffer had been ill during the week and spent a lot of time watching game tape and, if so, it really paid off for the Bulldogs on Friday night. Also coming up big for the New Haven D was J\u2019Keveous Hampton with 7 total tackles and Hayden Graham with 6 total tackles. Adam Smith grabbed an interception for the Dogs, and overall New Haven caused 3 fumbles Friday night against Belmont.<\/p>\n

Of course, what would Homecoming be without the pageantry of a Homecoming Court, and New Haven\u2019s was exceptionally well-dressed and elegant looking in spite of the wet and windy conditions. The following students represented NHHS on the Homecoming Court on Friday night:<\/p>\n

Freshmen Class \u2013 Ashia Howard, daughter of DeNisha Howard and Alfred Lockett, and Jackson Rhoades, the son of Angie and Don Rhoades<\/p>\n

Sophomore Class \u2013 Lindsey DeCamp, daughter of Michelle and Mike DeCamp, and Jaden Peffley, the son of Jenny and Jon Peffley<\/p>\n

Junior Class \u2013 Karlee Clear, daughter of Vanessa and Mark Clear, and Adam Smith, the son of Angela and Timothy Smith<\/p>\n

Senior Class \u2013 Taylor Vachon, the daughter of Kim and Tom Vachon, and Ryan Shaffer, son of Melissa and Dean Shaffer<\/p>\n

Senior Class \u2013 Paige Perkins, daughter of Renee and Rick Perkins, and Andy Kohrman, son of Brenda and Bradley Kohrman<\/p>\n

Senior Class \u2013 Payton Casey, daughter of Karmen and Tim Casey, and Travis Crowe, son of Marijane and Michael Crowe<\/p>\n

Senior Class \u2013 Hannah Smith, daughter of Holly and Jeff Woods, and Kyle Shephard, son of Melissa and Toby Shephard<\/p>\n
