It is a must see even if you’ve seen the movie or other renditions of the Fiddler. This is the 50 year anniversary of its opening on Broadway in 1964.
It is an awesome way to support our local artists and to keep family-friendly entertainment available to our communities. Perhaps your kids have never seen a live play it’s an experience that is so different from a movie, or a TV show. Introduce them to the excitement of a live production. Who knows? You might awaken the actor/actress, singer, or dancer in them.

For anyone who is not familiar with Fiddler on the Roof, it’s a story of one man’s struggle with family and faith in a changing world. The lead character is Tevye, a poor man with five daughters who struggles to live by his Jewish faith and traditions in Russia in 1905, but is forced to make decisions that violate both.
Tevye, and his wife Golde, want the best for their daughters – rich husbands – but they watch each one as they select with their hearts and not their heads. The daughter Chava’s choice is the saddest of them all as she marries a man outside the faith, a Russian soldier who represents those who kill and persecute Jews driving them from their homes. I’m not going to reveal the ending, though, so you must go see for yourself.
For more information, you can contact the Bryan Chamber of Commerce at 419-636-2247, or you can go to http://fcflive.tix.com

As you can see, there is a lot to choose from to do this month all the way from a truck pull, 5K run, car shows, a Broadway play, and a Rib Fest.
