Hertel,<\/strong> 87, of Antwerp passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 surrounded by her family at her son&#8217;s home.<\/p>\n<p>Teresa was born in Mark Center on January 28, 1927, a daughter of the late Mary Louise (Martin) and William J. Arend.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating from Mark Twp. High School in 1945, she moved to Fort Wayne and worked in the shipping department at General Electric until 1952, when she married Basil &#8220;Bake&#8221; Hertel on October 4th.Basil died Feb. 4, 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Teresa enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking &amp; sewing, but her favorite was crocheting lace doilies, snowflakes &amp; angels, which she gave as gifts. She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish. As a member of the Altar\/Rosary Society she helped make noodles and angle food cakes for fundraisers.<\/p>\n<p>Teresa will be sadly missed by her children, Marilyn (Paul) Arceo of Fort Wayne &amp; Raymond (Linda) of Antwerp; siblings, Lillian Breidenbaugh of Hicksville, Mabelle Arend of Perrysburg &amp; Vivian Mullaney of San Francisco, Ivan Arend of Dunedin, FL; 2 step grandchildren &amp; 3 step great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>She is also preceded in death by, sisters, Rita Marshall &amp; Pauline Arend and brothers, Eugene &amp; Louis Arend.<\/p>\n<p>Her Funeral Mass is at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Antwerp, Tuesday, 10 am.<\/p>\n<p>Viewing is Monday, 5 &#8211; 7:30 pm with a vigil service at 7:30 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, where viewing is also Tuesday, 9 &#8211; 9:30 am.<\/p>\n<p>She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials are to Divine Mercy for Masses or Community Health Professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Condolences and fond memories may be shared at www.dooleyfuneralhome.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teresa C.
